Major Job Responsibilities:

Provide software development and support in real-time embedded systems on incoming products
Develop, Implement, test, and debug embedded software in eCos/LINUX environment on incoming products
Perform triage and determine root cause of embedded software defects by modifying source files in C,C++, and Java
Provide enhancements to the original implementation on current products.
Deliver quality embedded software solutions to incoming product in a timely manner

Responsible for the preparation of software documentation, test procedures, instruction manuals and related information

Maintain current knowledge regarding new developments and trends in software engineering and related fields

Perform other related design assignments as required

Qualifications

Experience includes
- Demonstrated programming experience in C, C++, and Java

- Demonstrated experience working on Linux/Unix based real-time embedded system

- Demonstrated experience in using structured SW development methodologies

- Understanding of defect tracking systems and version control tools

- Develop, implement, test and debug embedded software in Linux/eCos environment or other platform

- Demonstrated experience in the architecture and design of complex embedded software system

- Large SOC application experience is preferred

Education and others include
- At least B.S. Degree in Computer Science/electronic or similar Engineering fields
- 5+ years of experience in electronic product software and hardware or other relevant design engineering
- Proficient problem solving and logic thinking
- Quick in learning and understanding new products and technologies
- Knowledge of PC applications
